LiveMinutes - Edit your Evernote notes in real-time with others!

LiveMinutes is a very cool app that integrates with Evernote (my all time favorite and most used app) and allows you to work on the same Evernote note with others, similar to Google Docs.

Evernote is an excellent app, with the ability to share notes with others, but there is not a collaboration piece until this app came along.

You go to LiveMinutes and create a work space and select the notes from your Evernote account that you want to collaborate on, share them with others and off you go. You see multiple users editing the same note. Even if someone edits the note in Evernote, the changes are synced.

Here's a video that shows how this works: http://youtu.be/FOxYa8NqRmc

LiveMinutes is a full collaboration app that also lets you run conference calls, annotate documents and visuals and organize projects by workspaces.

If you use Evernote, this is something to look into.

CollateBox - Simplest way to organize & share spreadsheets

CollateBox

CollateBox is a free online (beta) service, by invite (request one on their site) that allows you to organize and collaborate on spreadsheet data. Copy and paste existing data from a spreadsheet into Collatebox, set filters, hide columns, set up views for different people and then update it. One of the big features that set it apart is that you can limit what data each person sees and customize their views, all while keeping the master data updated.

This could be useful for school data teams, administrators, and students working on projects.

Stixy - online creation, collaboration, and sharing tool

Stixy is a free, online tool for creating, collaborating and sharing. It is a type of online bulletin board. You can create as many Stixyboards as you want so that you can organize projects. Use it for scheduling, family events, work projects, school projects, and more. You can add notes, documents, photos, and to do lists.

You can easily share your Stixyboard with anyone (private only to those invited, or open it up to the public). I like the fact that you can easily add content using the widgets and have the freedom to organize your notes and content anyway you want.

This could be a great tool for schools, teachers, and students to use for projects and collaboration.

Pegby - free online notes, tasks, organizing, mindmapping, outlining and more

Pegby is an interesting site that lets you get materials and information organized online and even work with others on it.

You create Boards that allow you to work online, collaborating with others or just organizing things for yourself. Each Board can have columns to help you organize the Cards in each Board. The card is a kind of post it note that you title and add descriptions to. The Cards go in Columns on the Board. You can even Stack Cards on top of each other to organize them together. You can also Tag and Filter your Boards to make it easier to work with.

It's a great way to organize notes, tasks, and other information. It's also a great way to organize your thoughts (mindmapping) and you can use it to outline research and papers.

This is a very useful tool for educators and students to use.

Check it out and share it with your students and colleagues: https://www.pegby.com/home/view

Quickoffice Launches Connect cloud collaboration service

Quickoffice is an app for iOS, Android, and other mobile OS's that allows you to view, edit, and create Microsoft Office documents (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) on your mobile device. It's one of the apps I use quite often to access and create files for school.

Quickoffice has launched Connect, a cloud service that syncs documents between your Android, iOS, Macs and PCs. It allows you to search for documents on any connected device as if they were on the device you are working on. You can also add any folder on a PC or Mac to Connect. The folder can be synced, shared, and commented. This commenting makes it easy to collaborate on projects with others.

You can also access files from other online services, like Dropbox, Box.net, Google Docs, SugarSync, Evernote, and more with Connect. This means that all your files that you have on these services is available for editing and collaborating through Connect.

There are three levels of Connect available:
Basic (free) – view documents, cloud access, five sharable folders, sync up to two devices, 5,000 file sync capacity
Premium ($44.99/year) – view and edit documents, integrated search across devices/clouds, unlimited folder sharing, sync up to four devices, remote access, 125,000 file sync capacity
Professional ($69.99/year) – view and edit documents. integrated search, unlimited folder sharing, sync up to six devices, remote access, file versioning, 250,000 file sync capacity.

This is another great resource for students and educators, allowing them to work on files on their mobile devices, as well as collaborate on projects.
